In Memoriam
This is an amazing story. Guaranteed to soften any hard heart...
On the morning of Monday August 6, 2007 I began my day of work at the Hospice. After our daily report, medical staff check on each patient and we begin doing our usual tasks of caring for each patient. Given that this is a small 10 bed facility it allows for us to give loving care to everyone. Often while I care or bathe patients who are unable to do these tasks for themselves I chant or sing the Maha Mantra. On this particular morning I was caring for one woman who had been with us for almost a week. She was a kind and polite person and I enjoyed the time I had spent with her on her previous days.
Devotees are beginning to offer tributes to Sunhotra Prabhu who passed away in Mayapur on Monday...
I would like to share with all of you my great bereavement over the departure of Sriman Suhotra prabhu. I was very much worried about his health when I met him this year in Sridham Mayapur, but I could not imagine that his health condition has been so severe that only a short time afterwards he would leave this world forever due to heart failure.
I just received this message from Srivasa Nimai Prabhu this morning...
Ananda Vallabha Prabhu's father left his material body while listening to Prabhu chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra at 7.10pm IST (11.40pm AEST) on 14-Aug-2006. Ananda Vallabha Prabhu sincerely and humbly requests all the devotees assembled in Melbourne Dhama to kindly pray for his father. Ananda Vallabha Prabhu requests the devotees to pray their ever-merciful Lordships of Melbourne Mahaprabhu Mandir to do what they deem appropriate for Prabhu's father. Please kindly assist Chandra Vallabhi Mataji & Ranju while they are by themselves in Melbourne during this hour of bereavement.
Our condolences to Ananda Vallabha and family.
Gopala Guru gives a nice report of his father’s funeral yesterday. His father was a popular and competent person, traits which I think he must have passed on to his children
We had the service for my dad today. It was a big affair with over 500 people turning up.
