Yes, I know I missed a couple of blog-days on this month's calendar. Everyone is allowed a few days off occasionally. I was exhausted. I taught 4 major classes in 8 days intersperced with two long-haul flights to and from Melbourne, and some serious spiritual partying mid-week.
This is really just a soliloquy*, since I am sure no one is actually complaining. I am more hard on myself than others are. I set my personal bar quite high, sort of like the writing equivalent of those incredible high jump events in the recent Osaka Athletics.
Here's some photographs of my double-header weekend cookery classes here in Perth.

Back-to-back deliciousness, with fourteen lovely students in attendance. Great company, good food. What more can you ask for?

We cooked:
“The Stylish Vegetarian”
Marathi Chili-laced Creamy Coconut and Spinach Soup (Palak Saar)
Arab-style Rice with Vermicelli & Chickpeas (Roz bil Shaghria)
Oven-roasted White Sweet Potato with Fresh Corn Chutney
Persian Gulf Curry of Potato, Cauliflower and Panir Cheese
Lemon-infused Dubai-style Salad of Fresh Dates, Crispy Fresh Fennel, Toasted Turkish Bread, Hazelnuts, Bitter Greens, Herbs & Feta
Warm Blueberry & Walnut-studded Semolina Halava Pudding

Paul enjoyed his washing up duties.

We had more men than usual in Saturday's class. A different energy, for sure.
I've got three more classes this week, including a dinner party this Friday night. I will continue to 'strut and fret' my hour on the culinary stage of life.
