Gary from Kings Cross, NSW Australia, writes: "Can you give me a recipe for the lemon, mint and ginger drink you serve in Govinda's. I have been doing Krishna cooking school at Govinda's in Sydney but Tony or Phillip Scott don't know it."
My reply: Well each recipe will most likely vary, from place to place, but my suggestion is this:
For every cup of freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice you will need exactly equal parts by volume of sugar, that is one metric cup (250ml).
Heat the lemon and sugar together in a small saucepan with, say, a couple of tablespoons of fresh peeled and grated ginger.
Simmer for 10 minutes and allow to infuse. Add good handful of fresh mint leaves while hot but off the stove.
Strain cool and add:

For a punchy lemonade drink: 5-7 cups total of water/ice/ice water (total volume) - taste and decide what you like.
For a milder drink: 8-9 cups water/ice etc
happy juicing, Kurma
