Little Lamb

little lamb:

Veronica from Nebraska asks:

"I am going into a culinary contest at my school i need some good recipes for lamb, i want it to be unique but good, we don't have an oven and we have an hour to make 5 different things. if you can help me out i will be very greatful."

My reply:

"Hello Veronica. Well, I'm a committed vegetarian, and if you look closely you'll see that my website reflects my views on life. Lambs, like all baby creatures, should be looked after, left to frolic in the fields and live out their lives in peace. So, sorry, no lamb recipes. :) Best wishes, Kurma

Little lamb, who made thee?
Dost thou know who made thee,
Gave thee life, and bade thee feed
By the stream and o’er the mead;
Gave thee clothing of delight,
Softest clothing, wooly, bright;
Gave thee such a tender voice,
Making all the vales rejoice?
Little lamb, who made thee?
Dost thou know who made thee?

Little lamb, I’ll tell thee;
Little lamb, I’ll tell thee:
He is called by thy name,
For He calls Himself a lamb,
He is meek, and He is mild,
He became a little child;
I a child, and Thee a Lamb,
We are called by His Name.
Little lamb, God bless thee!
Little lamb, God bless thee!

William Blake, poet, visionary, vegetarian.

Back Blogs

I'm back in Australia, unpacking and preparing myself for a busy cookery and teaching year.

If you've just tuned in to this virtual diary of mine and you're finding it 'smashing', remember that it started in June 2005, so there's loads of stuff to read in the realm of 'back blogs'.

a little less conversation and a bit more action:

There's only enough space for 20 days entries at a time on this side of the page. To read 'back issues', go to the calendar on the top right (or bottom) of this page and click on earlier dates this month, or click on the previous month and work backwards as you choose. There's over 20 months worth.

And don't forget, the search facility of this blog can be utilised by typing in key words into the SEARCH box.

I would like eventually to facilitate easier access to my blog archives. Just trying to figure out how to do it.

Come blog with me!
