A friend in Florida sent me this quote today.
Norman Vincent Peale (1898 – 1993) was a very controversial figure, a Christian preacher and author, and a progenitor of the theory of "positive thinking". Despite the criticisms of his writings, I can appreciate the truth in this quote, especially if seen from a spiritual point of view.
"Joy increases as you give it, and diminishes as you try
to keep it for yourself. In giving it, you will
accumulate a deposit of joy greater than you ever
believed possible." - Norman Vincent Peale
