"Dear Kurma, I have a Curry Plant in my garden - sort of silvery grey thing. Are the leaves of this plant what you refer to as curry leaves in your recipes?"
My answer:
"No! That plant (Helichrysum italicum) has no culinary value. You need Murraya koenigii, pictured below.
