See More at Seymour

I'm off today to teach a class at the Goulburn Ovens Institute of Tertiary and Further Education, Seymour Campus. My students will be mainly Certificate II & III in Hospitality Operations, with some members of the public also in attendance.

TAFE:

Seymour is nestled in a picturesque valley at the base of the Tallarook Ranges on the banks of the Goulburn River, and is described as a 'substantial country town' with a population of 7,000.

goulburn river:

At an elevation of 141 metres, it is 97km north of Victoria's capital city, Melbourne, at the junction of the Hume and Goulburn Valley Highways and is a 'leisurely one hour drive along the Hume Highway from Melbourne'

seymour:

We're not taking any chances in it just being a leisurely hour out of Melbourne. My driver and long-time friend Radha Caran told me that there was an horrific smash on the Hume Highway yesterday, closing it for all traffic for hours. So we will leave at 6.00am this morning. Since it's already 4.15 in the morning I better publish this blog and get packing!

On Air

I recorded some interviews and recipes yesterday for a Melbourne Community Radio Station. Melbourne residents can tune into 88.9 WYN FM on Saturday mornings at 8.00am to hear the serialised broadcasts of my 120 minutes of recipes, chat and philosophy.

on air:

It won't be starting this Saturday, but I'll let you know exactly when I go to air. It will be downloadable as a podcast so you'll also be able to hear the material via this blog. Stay tuned!
