Many Years Ago in Manchester

I have spent the last 3 pleasant nights at the home of my dear friends Bhagavat and his wife Sarva in their rambling home in Redland Bay, an outer suburb of Brisbane. Just before packing my bags for the drive to the airport and the long flight home this morning I noticed a photo on the wall that caught my eye. Could that be ...? I wondered.

Yes it was - the Beatles in Manchester England circa 1963, just after they recorded She Loves You. And in case you're wondering what the connection is to the Fab Four, that's a very young and starry-eyed Sarva on the far right.

Many Years Ago in Manchester

Game Over

The last class of my Australia-wide circuit, class number #20, took place yesterday at the gorgeous Queenslander-style home of Craig and Paula in the leafy old Brisbane suburb of Hawthorne. A grand success!

So it's mission accomplished, back to Perth for 5 day's R & R before an even bigger adventure starting next Saturday - 5 weeks of cookery in Europe. Stay tuned!
