The month of Damodara factually begins on Sunday the 4th of October and lasts till the 3rd of November.
Damodara means 'He who has a rope around his belly' and refers to Krsna as a very young boy after He was bound by His mother Yasoda.
The devotional service recommended for this month includes—daily reciting the Damodara Astaka, offering of lamps, reading Damodara Lila from Srimad Bhagavatam or Krsna Book, reciting Bhagavad Gita and chanting at least few extra rounds of the Hare Krsna Maha-mantra.
We invite everyone to come and offer candles to Sri Damodara twice daily, at 7am and 7pm.

Prabhupada's Disappearance
This year Prabhupada's Disappearance falls on the actual solar calendar day itoccurred in 1977.Our celebration of the event takes place mostly in the evening. There will be a puspanjali, Guru-puja and arati at midday.

Damodara Lila
The first day of the month of Kartika is officially tomorrow, Pratipat. We will be offering candles in honour of Lord Damodara's childhood pastimes at 7.00 am and 7.00 pm every day throughout the whole month till Sunday 24th November.
