Sunday, September 18, 2005Here are the dates for this year’s Govardhana Puja, Diwali and Prabhupada’s Disappearance festivals to be honoured in the beginning of November. We’ve decided to celebrate Diwali on the first Tuesday in November which is Melbourne Cup day. The actual day is on the Wednesday but we’ll take advantage of the fact that many will come on the Tuesday.
Govardhana Puja is actually on the Thursday but our usual rule is to hold it on the closest Saturday which is the 5th of November. Prabhupada’s Disappearance Day is on Sunday the 6th.
- Diwali — 1st November
- Govardhana Puja — 5th November
- Prabhupada’s Disappearance — 6th November
