I just spoke to Simheswara Prabhu who has received news from doctors attending to Jayapataka Swami. There are some more encouraging signs. He is blinking his eyes and is responding to simple commands.

He is not talking as I have heard reported to me elsewhere but these small improvements are encouraging indeed.

Please keep up the prayers and kirtana.

Update on Jayapataka Swami

The GBC meetings have finished in Mumbai so I'm not receiving regular updates on Maharaja's condition. I do hear from those who go to see him in the hospital.

At this stage it looks as if it will be a waiting game. He is neither deteriorating nor improving significantly.

I just received this small note from Ratnavali.

Today Dr Bhave, the Haematologist and PP Ashok, the Neurologist came to check Guru Maharaja's condition. They say that there is a slight improvement in his bodily movements but still not out of danger. The body condition has not deteriorated and that is a good sign.

The devotees are requested to continuously pray and chant. Do not make phone calls to the Mumbai ISKCON temple or any other devotees. For any information you can visit www.jpsoffice.com web site or www.mayapur.com.

For any reason if you need to call please call at 0091 22 2624 4500 to Simheswar Prabhu, senior disciple of Guru Maharaja who will respond to you. The devotees are asked to stay wherever you are and intensely pray for the recovery of Guru Maharaja.

According to devotees just returned from the hospital Jayapataka Swami's bleeding has stopped and so whilst he is still in a critical condition there has been further improvement.
