Please join us to celebrate Nrsimha Caturdasi on the evening of Monday May 19th.
Nrsimha-Chaturdasi
Nrsimha-Chaturdasi

At 4:30pm. we will receive the Lord's darshan and offer Him dhupa arati and kirtan. At 5:00pm. one of our senior devotees will speak about Lord Nrsimhadeva's glorious incarnation. At 5:45pm. we will offer an oil abhiseka to the Lord (Salagram form) and a kirtan for His pleasure. This will be followed at 7:00pm. by sandhya arati and kirtan, and pushpanjali at 7:20pm. Then at 8:00pm we will honour Lord Nrsimhadeva's feast prasadam.

Just as we enjoy performing daily and fortnightly duties to serve Lord Krishna, devotees also relish monthly duties. Festivals like Nrsimha Caturdasi fall into this category. In Caitanya Caritamrta (Madhya-lila 24.324-346), Krishnadasa Kaviraja Goswami recounts how Lord Caitanya instructed Sanatana Goswami to describe Vaisnava activities (in Hari Bhakti Vilasa).

‘Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu replied, “…please hear these few indications. In the beginning describe how one must take shelter of a bona fide spiritual master…Also describe Deity worship…You should describe the symptoms of a devotee, how to associate with devotees…You should describe the ritualistic duties to be performed every day, and you should also describe the fortnightly duties — especially how to observe the fortnightly Ekadasi fast. You should also describe the duties to be observed every month, and you should especially describe the observance of ceremonies like Janmastami, Rama-navami and Nrsimha-caturdasi…all these should be described.”’

Please join us for a wonderful evening of celebrations.
