Despite all the protests of some who only wish to be connected with the acarya, it is not that the physical presence of a guru in one's life can be so readily rejected. Even if the stature of the guru cannot compare with that of the acarya, which, quite frankly, is to be expected, still there is a pressing need for a relationship with a guru who is ‘ before the physical senses.'
