You might recall I blogged about the authenticity of a clip purportedly of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati in February. I had my doubts then and have them confirmed now by this video produced in Croatia recently.
The 15 minute video minutely examines the original 30 second clip which was a part of the documentary on the life of Bhaktisiddhanta. With wit and technical know-how, Devarsi Narada makes a convincing argument for the segment being a piece of computer manipulation.
We aren't hearing much from those who were advocating its authenticity now! I especially like his example which is near the end of the clip showing how the picture of the Caitanya Matha which is purportedly ninety years old looks exactly the same as an earlier picture in the same film of the temple as it stands today. You'd think the trees would have grown a bit in ninety years, but no, they look exactly the same!
Devamrta Swami has just confirmed his next two visits in July. He'll be in
Melbourne from the sixth till the tenth and the 22nd till the 27th. There
are a couple of retreats lined up for the weekends in those dates as well.
