Hare Krsna. Nityananda Trayodasi is soon (tomorrow). I thought of attempting to resume sending out photos on this occasion to glorify Lord Nityananda.

Panihati is on the Ganga bank quite near Kolkata. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu once arrived there by boat from Jagannath Puri. Raghava Pandita and his sister lived in Panihati as did many other devotees of Nityananda prabhu.

Panihati is most famous for hosting the chipped rice festival of Raghunatha dasa. Nityananda prabhu had ordered Raghunatha dasa, who had come from Saptagram on the other side of the Ganga, to hold the festival and Raghunatha dasa did so. The day after the festival, Nityananda Prabhu blessed Raghunatha dasa to soon attain the shelter of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

May Nityananda prabhu mercifully benedict everyone with the shelter of the feet of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Panihati - from Bhurijana Prabhu

I'm off to India tonight for the annual meetings in Mayapur. I'm going to attempt at least one post everyday but this is the most intense two weeks of the ISKCON year for me. This is the first post where I've spoken in the first person for a while. I hope to improve on that in the future also.

I won't speak too much about what I'd like to do however; actions speak louder than words.

Off to Mayapur Dhama

The ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temples in Mumbai, in partnership with The Times Group, have recently launched a service project. The leaflet that describes this project carries the beautiful face of a poor girl with this caption: "Sunita loves Science classes. Sunita loves History classes. Sunita loves Mathematics classes... But SHE HATES LUNCH HOURS."
