Tomorrow is the appearance anniversary of Advaita Acarya. Fasting till noon.
Tuesday week is the appearance of Nityananda Prabhu. It's also a half day fast.
Over 5,000 Krishna devotees from 85 countries have gathered at Cross Maidan where 32 years ago, Swami Prabupad, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) held his first public discourse after he returned to India after establishing the movement in the west.
Colombo, Sri Lanka - Food for Life has given out more than 150,000 hot meals in Sri Lanka and 100,000 in India since the Dec. 26 tsunami. In Sri Lanka, the humanitarian organization has provided food relief in Batticaloa, Maratuwa, Matara, Point Pedro, and Trincomalee, states a ISKCON (Sri Lanka) press release.
